Celebrating Memorial Day

This is the first Memorial Day where my husband is in his grave. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He spent his time in Germany shortly after we were married. He was scheduled to go to Vietnam but we believe his Mother's prayers changed things and he was sent to Germany even after receiving the shots for Korea. He got another set of shots for Germany. He was on the ship going over when I graduated.

Alterations and Running Errands

I have been busy running errands early this morning. I am very short and had to have some blouses shortened. I know a lady that does marvelous work and she is fast. She is also very reasonable in her charges. I went and picked up my blouses early this morning and she did such a nice job on them. She lives in the next town, so while I was there I stopped at the grocery store and picked up a few things I couldn't get here. It is a beautiful day to do these things.

New Kitten

Nothing is so much fun as a new kitten. They just love to run and play. You can entertain them for hours with a piece of yarn or string. Scary Storms

It seems like there have been a lot of scary storm almost everywhere in the United States. Someone caught this picture and put it on Facebook one day.

It looks like that place is in for a bad storm. I do not know or understand why storm chasers chase tornadoes. It has to be one of the scariest jobs around.
